Survey of Italian Rural Architecture
Trentino – South Tyrol, 2024-2025
As part of the National Census of Italian Rural Architectural Heritage project, established by the ICCD (part of the Italian Ministry of Culture) and funded by PNRR funds, I served as the photographer for the entire Trentino-Alto Adige region.
Over the course of 12 months, from July 2024 to June 2025, I documented approximately 2,000 rural buildings scattered throughout the Trentino and South Tyrol regions with the aim of creating a comprehensive and representative map of the region’s historic rural dwellings.
It was a journey of over 12,000 km, through space and time, during which I was able to combine two of my greatest interests: photography and the study and exploration of the territory.
